Nicole Polizzi and Brian Dwyre Seacrest Studios interview
Nicole Polizzi and I had the privilege to visit one of the premier children's hospitals in the country. We were interviewed at Seacrest studios in the heart of Philadelphia and met some brave young kids and parents during our visit. Nicole and I felt it was the best thing we could do with the inventory we had left. What a great cause and a great feeling putting smiles on these children's faces. I cannot imagine the pain these families must be enduring. As a parent, you worry so much about your child's well being. It takes a resilient attitude to endure. I pray that our visit put something positive into their otherwise difficult day. God bless those children and we wish them a speedy recovery.
What a Wonderful World music book by Kidioke Media

The benefits of reading and listening to music for children are undeniable. According to KidsHealth.org, “...early introduction to music does more than entertain. It can kick-start learning, serve as an important cue in a child’s routine, and offer lifelong benefits. Music contributes to what experts call “a rich sensory environment.” This simply means exposing kids to a wide variety of tastes, smells, textures, colors, and sounds… Between the ages of 1 and 3, kids respond best to music when they actively experience it. Passive listening (like in the car) is fine, but look for opportunities to get your child rocking, marching, rolling, tapping, clapping, and moving to the beat.”
What's the Next Step in this Business?
Just watched the movie Joy and feeling reinvigorated to follow my dreams as an “inventor” of sorts for Kidioke Media. Like the woman portrayed in Joy, I too have had multiple ideas throughout the years and it was really interesting to see that after all those years she had kept inventing and patenting these really successful products. It was even cooler to see that the mop the movie centered around was one that I owned in college. On a side note I have to say the mop kind of stunk in my opinion however I did find it cool enough to buy so who am I to say. But I digress.
So here we are coming up on the third quarter since my books arrived and the first round of royalties have been mailed out. Advances were satisfied rather quickly which I’m very happy about because that means a lot of books were sold. Lullabye is not performing quite as well as Wonderful World and My Girl but I expected that. When I started Kidioke I had no idea what Lullabye was. It wasn’t until my friend told me it would make a good song did I recognize its appeal. I’ve always been a huge Billy Joel fan but that song didn’t get much air play at least not that I can remember. I actually think the app video and the story it tells is far better than my other two titles. Just a side note if you’re debating which one to get.
One More Roll of the Dice!
In an effort to get some serious celebrity action we've decided to call out two of the best entertainers in the country today. We have always loved these two and their connection with one another. Both awesome musicians in their own right and super talented - we had to challenge them! History of Rap was TIGHT but how about History of Rock? Who wouldn't love to see JT and Fallon get back together and crush it as they always do. I know we'd be entertained.
We also know that Jimmy is SUPER competitive and doesn't typically back down to a challenge. If you're familiar with his Tonight Show he is constantly challenging guests to games of skill - whatever it may be. Something about that we love over here. Competition can be fun and a great motivating factor. Doesn't hurt that they both have about 50 million followers a piece :P

Attempt to get on Howard Stern

Howard Stern - Here I come.
So as an entrepreneur I've learned and read that you must think outside the box. Being a life-long Howard Stern fan and listening to countless shows I've learned some things about the shock jock. Howard loves to play clips of people referencing Baba Booey and more recently shouting, "Hit Em With the Hein!" I know that it's been shouted and referenced ad nausea but I also know that nobody has been crazy enough to spend the kind of money required to post a billboard with the saying.
So...here we are. Just days before the Christmas shopping season begins, and it's time to take yet another risk. Here's hoping you'll hear my call on air before Christmas. And don't forget to HIT EMMMM WITH THE HEINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

The Moment You've Been Waiting For

Hoping to Swim with the Sharks
Bedtime
You’ve definitely been there; the fight to get your child to take a bath, put pajamas on, settle down with a book or a song, and ultimately fall asleep. Sometimes it takes 25 minutes, but we all know the reality. It’s usually hours! How many times have you read “Good Night Moon” or “The Cat in the Hat?” How many times have you belted out your best version of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star?” Most times, putting your child to bed leaves you even more exhausted and ready to tuck yourself into whatever pile of sheets (or stuffed animals) is closest to you.

Mom Does Reviews

My youngest daughter loves for me to read sing-along books to her. We have a few with traditional nursery rhyme/song books like Old Macdonald and The Wheels on the Bus. I have to tell you, after a few repeats, I sound more like an old audio tape being eaten in the player. I'm not sure why she loves it so much. The songs are so short my head begins to feel dizzy after the third round, leading me to beg for someone else to take over -- even for just a few seconds.
